Catch Big Reversals Like a Pro Using the GOLDEN RSIHow to Catch Market Tops and Bottoms Using the GOLDEN RSI Indicator
Trading market reversals can feel like a daunting task. But what if you had a secret weapon to help you identify tops, bottoms, and potential reversals with ease? Enter the GOLDEN RSI Indicator—a custom-built tool designed to revolutionize your trading strategy. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to leverage this powerful indicator to spot reversal trades like a seasoned pro.
What is the GOLDEN RSI Indicator?
The GOLDEN RSI builds on the traditional RSI (Relative Strength Index) by adding optimized zones and visual signals that highlight potential bullish and bearish reversals. Unlike the standard RSI, which requires subjective interpretation, this indicator provides precise entry and exit signals by visually marking key market conditions.
How to Use the GOLDEN RSI to Catch Market Reversals?
Understand the Key Zones:
Overbought Zone (Above 80): Signals a potential market top or reversal from bullish to bearish.
Oversold Zone (Below 20): Indicates a potential market bottom or reversal from bearish to bullish.
Neutral Zone (60-40): Consolidation phase where trends are less decisive.
Spotting Bullish Reversals
When the RSI dips into the oversold zone (below 20) and begins to reverse upward, the GOLDEN RSI will highlight a Bull signal. This suggests a potential upward move, ideal for long trades.
Pro Tip: Look for confirmation with price action, such as a bullish candlestick pattern or a break of resistance.
Spotting Bearish Reversals
When the RSI climbs into the overbought zone (above 80) and starts to turn down, the GOLDEN RSI will mark a Bear signal. This indicates a potential downward move, perfect for short trades.
Pro Tip: Combine with chart patterns like double tops or bearish engulfing candles to strengthen your confidence in the trade.
The Hidden Power of Divergences
Bullish Divergence: Price makes lower lows while the RSI makes higher lows. This signals potential bullish momentum.
Bearish Divergence: Price makes higher highs while the RSI makes lower highs. This signals potential bearish momentum.
The GOLDEN RSI visualizes divergences clearly, so you can spot them effortlessly.
Use Risk Management Tools
Set stop-loss levels below recent swing lows (for bullish trades) or above recent swing highs (for bearish trades).
Use risk-reward ratios of at least 1:2 to maximize your profit potential.
Real Trade Example Using GOLDEN RSI
In the SPX 15-minute chart above, the GOLDEN RSI accurately identified:
A Bearish Reversal near the market top, as the RSI entered overbought territory and started to fall.
A Bullish Reversal as the RSI dipped into the oversold zone and recovered upward.
These signals allowed for precise entry points, minimizing risk and maximizing rewards.
Why the GOLDEN RSI is a Game-Changer
Unlike generic RSI tools, the GOLDEN RSI is designed with traders in mind. It eliminates the guesswork by providing visual cues for market reversals. Whether you’re trading stocks, indices, or crypto, this indicator is a must-have in your toolkit.

Reversal Trading Strategy Using GOLDEN RSI Divergence Indicator Overview
Reversal trading strategies capitalize on identifying turning points in the market where a potential reversal from a downtrend to an uptrend, or vice versa, occurs. In this post, I will introduce a strategy based on divergence patterns spotted with a custom RSI (Relative Strength Index) indicator.
This method enhances traditional RSI analysis by making divergence detection clearer and actionable. By combining it with a strong understanding of price action, traders can gain an edge in timing market reversals effectively.
Key Features of This Strategy
Divergence Analysis: The core of this strategy is to identify bullish or bearish divergences between the RSI and price action.
Custom RSI Indicator: The custom RSI indicator simplifies divergence detection by highlighting critical levels and marking divergence points directly on the chart.
Confluence with Price Action: Reversals are validated using trendlines, support/resistance zones, and candlestick patterns.
Chart Example: S&P 500 Index
In the attached chart:
Bullish Divergence:
The price made lower lows, while the RSI made higher lows (indicated by green arrows).
This divergence signaled weakening bearish momentum and potential reversal.
Entry Point:
A clear breakout above the trendline validated the reversal.
Enter long positions near this breakout level.
Stop Loss:
Place the stop loss just below the recent swing low.
Target Profit:
Aim for the next major resistance zone or use a fixed risk-reward ratio (e.g., 1:2 or 1:3).
How to Spot Divergence
Bullish Divergence:
Price forms lower lows.
RSI forms higher lows.
This indicates waning bearish pressure and a potential upward reversal.
Bearish Divergence:
Price forms higher highs.
RSI forms lower highs.
This suggests weakening bullish pressure and a possible downward reversal.
Why This Strategy Works
Strength of RSI Divergence
RSI divergence reflects the loss of momentum in the current trend. By detecting it early, traders can position themselves ahead of major reversals.
Combining Confluence Factors
The success rate of this strategy increases when RSI divergence aligns with other technical factors like:
Horizontal support or resistance levels.
Trendline breaks.
Volume spikes.
Practical Tips for Using This Strategy
Use Multiple Timeframes: Confirm divergence signals on higher timeframes for stronger setups.
Avoid Overtrading: Only act on clear and validated divergence setups to minimize false signals.
Risk Management: Never risk more than 1-2% of your trading capital on a single trade.
Conclusion
This custom RSI-based divergence strategy is a powerful tool to identify high-probability reversal setups. When combined with proper risk management and confluence analysis, it can significantly improve trading outcomes.

NAS100USD: Anticipating Temporary Bearish Order Flow?Greetings Traders,
Today's analysis highlights significant bullish momentum in NAS100USD, driven by the heavy volatility following the CPI news release. Despite the bullish institutional order flow, there is potential for temporary bearish order flow. This could either serve as a brief retracement to meet specific objectives before continuing the bullish trend or, possibly, a full reversal of price action. While we must wait for further market confirmation, current conditions provide an opportunity to target the sell stop objectives highlighted on the chart.
Key Observations and Confluences:
1. Institutional Price Delivery Insight:
At present, price is positioned in a premium zone and has recently taken out Engineered Resistance Liquidity, where premium buy stops reside. Institutions often use this liquidity to pair orders by selling against these buy stops.
Institutions, having sold at a premium, will aim to buy back positions at a discount (a process associated with profit-taking). Therefore, we anticipate price to move towards liquidity pools at lower discount levels.
2. Trendline Liquidity:
The chart also reveals engineered trendline liquidity, a classic setup where retail traders buy along the trendline, leaving their stop losses below. Institutions view these stop losses as sell stops, representing willing sellers against whom they can close their buy positions. This makes these lows prime targets for institutional activity.
The current evidence provides a strong foundation to anticipate bearish price action towards these liquidity pools, offering a strategic opportunity to align with the institutional narrative.

XRPUSD should correct before any further leg up
The party could continue but a correction is overdue. We're in a distinct Wave 5 move on the 2hr with several key indicators firing. Overbought on multiple oscillators.
Additionally, profit-taking from recent XRP gains, driven by optimism around partial legal victories, could add selling pressure. If trading volumes drop, it could amplify the downside move, before another (potential) leg up.
NAS100USD: Is a Reversal Brewing in Bearish Territory?Greetings Traders!
Today’s analysis highlights a fascinating setup on NAS100USD. While the market remains bearish overall, there are compelling signs suggesting a potential reversal. This could either lead to a minor retracement or evolve into a stronger, extended bullish trend. As always, we let the market confirm its intentions.
Current Market Outlook:
Price is sitting at heavy discount levels, having swept discount sell stops. This movement hints at the possibility of smart money entering buy orders against willing sellers. Remember, the narrative here is simple: buy in discount prices, sell in premium prices.
Key Confluences:
Rejection Block Support: Price is strongly rejecting a key rejection block, establishing a robust institutional support zone.
Discount Level Alignment: Current levels are ideal for buying opportunities, provided confirmation aligns with the broader market narrative.
Trading Strategy:
I am closely watching for confirmation entries at these levels, with the first target being the premium buy stops above the 50% Fibonacci level (fair value). This zone offers an excellent area for profit-taking and aligns with institutional order flow.

Scalping USDCHF -- 10 green candles -> slight correction
One of the easiest reversal moves to anticipate is when anytime the same color candle prints 10+ times in a row. When 9 out of 10 candles in a sequence are green, for example, you'll often see a slight correction, perfect for a scalp.
This is what we're seeing here on USDCHF, pointed out by Rev10 indicator. The SMA 200 was also in a downtrend, reinforcing our confidence in a quick short.

SPY due for a pullback -- EV3 and Treverse phenom on 8h
The SPY is due for a pullback. It’s been overextended after a strong rally, with key indicators like RSI showing overbought conditions. Currently in a W5 leg, we're waiting on EV3 or Treverse to fire, as these RevAlerts indicators have shown an excellent track record, as seen on the 8h chart.
Additionally, economic uncertainty, rising bond yields, and/or upcoming Fed decisions could trigger profit-taking. Traders know markets rarely move in a straight line, and healthy pullbacks often follow extended runs. Let's see what the week brings!
NAS100USD: Is Bearish Control Taking Over?Greetings Traders!
While NAS100USD remains bullish, I see signs of a potential bearish shift for several reasons identified on the chart. Most notably, price has been rejecting a Rejection Block, a significant institutional resistance zone. This rejection has resulted in strong downside displacement, signaling that institutional interest may now lean bearish.
Retail vs. Institutional Resistance
Institutional Resistance:
Price has retraced into heavy premium levels, ideal for selling opportunities (sell in premium, buy in discount). A key difference with institutional resistance lies in its foundation on Rejection Blocks. These order blocks, formed at market turning points, are characterized by large wicks relative to candle closures. They indicate that institutions or smart money entered substantial sell orders, giving confidence to anticipate bearish price action.
Retail Resistance:
In contrast, retail resistance often serves as engineered liquidity. Here, banks and institutions create the illusion of a resistance zone to entice retail traders into taking trades. These zones, strategically placed at premium levels, enable institutions to sell against retail positions. Understanding this manipulation is critical for aligning with institutional order flow.
Trading Plan
Confirmation Zone:
Monitor price action at the Rejection Block and premium levels for bearish confirmation.
Targets:
Fair Value: The 50% retracement of the leg.
Liquidity Pool: The downside liquidity resting below current levels.

Nike - Catch this reversal!NYSE:NKE continues its overall uptrend despite the recent drop of -60% to the downside.
All you need in order to catch the reversal of the decade is simply one line: a support trendline. Nike is currently approaching a support trendline, which has been sending prices higher for the past 30 years. Just this fact alone makes me believe that we will see (much) higher prices on Nike over the next couple of weeks and months, but we still need bullish confirmation first!

XAUUSD | GOLDSPOT | New perspective | follow-up detailThe Federal Reserve delivered a surprise 50 basis point rate cut, sending gold prices skyrocketing past $2,600! 🤯 This larger-than-expected cut underscores the Fed's commitment to maintaining low unemployment as inflation continues to ease. 📉
🚨 Gold prices surged past $2,600, reaching all-time highs as speculation grows that the Fed will keep lowering borrowing costs. Nasdaq - Here we finally go!TVC:NDQ is finally rejecting the resistance and creating the anticipated bearish correction.
Let me just put it that way: The correction was 100% anticipated and you can definitely then trade accordingly. Just a couple of weeks ago the Nasdaq retested a resistance which has been pushing price lower for 14 years - a correction was very likely. So far the Nasdaq is dropping significantly but I don't think that the current correction will actually be over soon...

Be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy. But on Nvidia we cannot be fearful yet - so far, the smaller timeframes are still bullish. Everything makes me believe though that we will see a significant move lower soon: Nvidia is retesting massive channel resistance, repeated the previous bullish cycles and is preparing for the next correction cycle!

Silver struggles at downtrend littered with reversal patternsSilver’s been on a nice run recently, benefitting from an easing of concerns towards the trajectory for US economy. But with the move stalling ahead of levels where it's struggled in the past, and with major risk events approaching fast, are we on the cusp of yet another bearish reversal?
Silver has rallied 14% from the early August lows
It has been extremely correlated with other industrial metals such as copper over the past month, suggesting it’s more a play on the global economy
Silver rally stalls at downtrend that’s sparked bearish reversals in the past
Overview
Silver’s been on a nice run recently, benefitting from an easing of concerns towards the trajectory for global US economy. That’s because unlike gold which has been heavily influenced by movements in the US dollar and bond yields, silver has been extremely correlated with copper futures over the past month, another industrial metal closely tied to economic activity.
While concerns have eased recently, we’re about to receive a whole bunch of economic data that could easily see them flare again next week. Perhaps unsurprisingly, silver has struggled to extend the bullish reversal sparked by Jerome Powell’s speech last Friday, wobbling ahead of downtrend resistance dating back to the highs struck this year.
Silver looking at another bearish reversal?
When you look back to see how the silver price has interacted with this level previously, you can’t help but notice it’s littered with evening stars, bearish engulfing candles and key reversals, all notable topping patterns. It doesn’t like it.
With RSI (14) rolling over, warning of waning bullish momentum, I wonder whether we may see a similar outcome soon? Wednesday’s candle, while incomplete, looms as a potential bearish engulfing, while the price is threatening to break out of the rising wedge it’s been in for several weeks.
For those keen to take on the short trade, you could sell now or wait for better levels slightly higher with a stop above Monday’s high for protection. The initial trade target would be $28.77, conditional on the price being able to break the 50-day moving average. If $28.77 were to give way, $28.046 and $27.269 are the next levels to consider.
If the trade moves in your favour, consider lowering your stop to entry level or lower, allowing for a free hit on downside.
