SG10Y SG Govt Bond Yield UNCANNY heads up on US EquitiesHere is a rehash of the relationship between the Singapore 10Y Govt Bond Yields and US Equities ETF, SPY (Blue Line).
Noted that when the SG10Y technically breaks out, the SPY technically breaks down, and vice versa.
This is not 100% but happens an estimated 80% of the time, and recent occurences since September are marked out with bullish green or bearish red time lines, respective to SPY from the SG10Y leading indications.
Just middle of this past week, the SG10Y spiked strongly and broke out, the next day saw the SPY tank significantly. In fact, the MACD for the SG10Y had already pre-warned of the breakout two days earlier!
Given the current set up, as usual, I do my technical and charting projections. And in this case, it is clear that the Santa rally fizzled, year closign and next year opening should be weak until early February. Now, if this projection works as it should, then we would likely see a weak 2025 for the US equities... not only to take profit, but also offers opportunities to buy in at some point.
(side note: as far back as 2020, 2025 was marked as the year of some resurgence of affliction from the neck upwards. It is a little sketchy, but it would very well be the surprise to tank the markets enough... watch for it)

US Markets Defy Tradition: Stocks and Bonds Rise Together◉ Introduction
The relationship between bond yields and stock prices is crucial in understanding financial markets. Generally, bond yields and stock prices exhibit an inverse relationship, meaning that as bond yields rise, stock prices tend to fall, and vice versa. This dynamic is influenced by several factors, including opportunity costs, corporate financing costs, investor behaviour, and economic conditions.
◉ Opportunity Cost of Investing in Equities
● Definition: Bond yields represent the return on fixed-income investments. When bond yields increase, they provide a benchmark for what investors expect from equities.
● Impact: Higher bond yields make stocks less attractive unless they can offer significantly higher returns.
● Example: If a 10-year government bond yields 7%, investors may require at least a 12% return from stocks (including a risk premium of around 5%) to justify the additional risk. If expected stock returns fall below this level, investors may shift their capital from stocks to bonds, leading to a decline in stock prices.
◉ Corporate Financing Costs
● Definition: Rising bond yields increase the cost of borrowing for companies.
● Impact: Higher interest expenses can reduce corporate profits and cash flow, leading to lower stock valuations.
● Example: If a company’s debt interest rises from 5% to 8%, its net income may decrease significantly due to higher interest payments. This can prompt investors to reassess the company’s stock value negatively.
◉ Investor Behaviour and Market Dynamics
● Definition: Investor sentiment plays a significant role in the bond-stock relationship.
● Impact: When bond yields rise, many investors may sell stocks in favour of bonds, seeking safer returns.
● Example: During periods of economic uncertainty, such as the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, rising bond yields led many investors to move capital into bonds, resulting in significant declines in stock indices like the S&P 500.
◉ Economic Conditions and Inflation Expectations
● Definition: Bond yields are influenced by inflation expectations and overall economic growth.
● Impact: Rising inflation typically leads to higher bond yields, which can negatively impact stock prices as investors anticipate reduced future earnings.
● Example: Following the 2008 financial crisis, low inflation kept bond yields down, supporting rising stock prices as investors sought higher returns from equities amid low yields on bonds.
◉ Historical Context and Trends
● Definition: Historically, lower bond yields correlate with higher stock prices due to lower discount rates on future cash flows.
● Impact: Low borrowing costs encourage corporate investment and growth.
● Example: The bull market from 2009 to 2020 was fueled by persistently low Treasury yields, allowing companies to borrow cheaply and reinvest in growth initiatives.
◉ The Role of Defaults in Bond Yields
● Definition: The probability of default significantly influences bond yields.
● Impact: Increased default risk leads to higher required yields on corporate bonds, prompting a flight to safer government bonds.
● Example: During the 2008 financial crisis, rising default expectations for many companies resulted in corporate bonds offering higher yields as investors sought safety in government securities.
◉ Recent Market Trends: A Post-Election Analysis
The recent market trends following Donald Trump's election as President of the United States have been quite remarkable. Typically, when equity prices rise, bond yields fall, and vice versa. However, over the last month, both equity prices and bond yields have increased simultaneously.
This unusual phenomenon can be attributed to investor expectations of Trump's economic policies. The equity market has experienced a significant surge, with major indices like the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average reaching new highs. This rally is largely driven by expectations of:
● Corporate Tax Reductions: Expected to boost corporate earnings and drive economic growth.
● Infrastructure Spending: Anticipated to create new job opportunities and stimulate economic activity.
● Deregulation: Expected to reduce compliance costs and promote business growth.
On the other hand, the bond market has experienced a significant rise in yields, driven by investor expectations of higher inflation and higher interest rates. This is largely due to Trump's economic policies, which are expected to lead to higher borrowing costs due to unchanged or higher interest rates, causing bond prices to decline and yields to rise.
◉ Conclusion
The recent rise in bond yields and stock prices marks a significant change from past trends. This shift shows how economic policy, investor feelings, and market forces interact, emphasizing the constantly changing nature of global financial markets.
XAO - AU10YR - Australian Stock Market - 10 YR Bond YieldsStarting with this video, I'll begin incorporating insights from AriasWave into each new release.
Here, I dive deep into what I believe to be the true pattern of the Australian Stock Market and discuss what might unfold next.
I also analyze 10-year bond yields, presenting a case for significantly higher rates—potentially reaching at least 16%. This isn't just about making bold predictions; I break down the reasoning behind these conclusions using detailed wave analysis.
US10Y 1D RSI Bearish Divergence signals a long-term sell. The U.S. Government Bonds 10YR Yield (US10Y) has been trading within a Channel Down pattern since the December 27 2023 Low. The price is above both the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line) and the 1D MA200 (orange trend-line) and is approaching the patterns top.
The 1D RSI is already making a bearish reversal though, having posted Lower Highs against the price's Higher Highs, which technically is a Bearish Divergence. As a result, we expect the Bullish Leg to top soon and then reverse to the Channel's new Bearish Leg.
The previous one made a Lower Low at the bottom of the pattern on the 1.2 Fibonacci extension level and as a result our Target is just above it at 3.500%.

Predictive Correlation the SG10Y Bond Yields on S&P500I have posted about this correlation previously. Perhaps this time it might be clearer to see...
This uncanny correlation between the SG10Y Govt Bond Yields as a leading indicator for the S&P500 was noticed some time ago, and tested since.
As shown, the major turning points were seen in trend changes of the SG10Y GBonds first, before the S&P500 reacted. The vertical time markings show when you would short or long depending on the trend breakouts of the SG10Y GBonds (see lower panel, blue line),
Comcomitantly, comparing what happens from that point, you can see the S&P500 in the upper panel with yellow line.
The lowest panel is the MACD... and this shows the correlated pattern of a (lagging) technical indicator.
Since 2023, there are at least six instances with 100% hit rate.
Now... that brings us to TODAY.
It appears that we are given advance warning of the next couple of months.
For now, there should be a quick pop up to the very recent high followed by a failure of support in the S&P500; and then the expected trends should play out...
US10Y Look for a 1D MA50 rejection.A month ago (August 21, see chart below) we argued why the U.S. Government Bonds 10YR Yield (US10Y) would go lower with the Fed having no choice but the cut the Interest Rates:
Well the Fed did it and cut the rates not just by -0.25% but -0.50%, initiating the new cut Cycle. Now let's look at the US10Y's price action on a smaller time-frame, namely the 1D.
As you can see the pattern is a double Channel Down, with the price trading below the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line) since July 03 2024. That is the current Resistance and until it breaks (1D candle closing above it), we should be looking every time for a sell near it.
Assuming the Bearish Legs of the diverging (dotted) Channel Down are symmetrical like those of May and June, our Target is 3.450%, representing a -10.50% decline (same as August's Bearish Leg).

Recession Now Well Underway The yield curve is now fully inverted after reaching EXTREME levels. With that, we can conclude the recession has officially contaminated the financial sector.
Soon (likely before year end) we will see a significant selloff in equities.
Suggest: sell stocks & buy US Treasury Bonds.
135k by Inauguration DayWith at least 75 additional bps of Fed cuts to digest after September, Bitcoin should continue its trend into 5 key events:
Sep 26 speech by Jerome Powell
Nov 5 Election Day
Nov 7 FOMC (-50bps)
Dec 18 FOMC (-25bps)
Jan 20 Inauguration Day
This should be catalyzed by the ETF options meltup which will be occurring simultaneously.
20yr yield breakout from C waveCurrently monitoring the 20yr bond yield. On this Chart. I've found a desc. Triangle breakout set up with a bullish wave count. Also notice the yield is at an oversold level for this time frame and below the cloud. I'm looking for the yield to retrace back up above the 5th elliot wave and close above 4.367at minimum before going higher.
Disclosure: I have puts on NASDAQ:TLT
US10Y going lower with the Fed having no choice but to cut.Almost 10 months ago (November 7 2023, see chart below), we made a bold (for the time being) call on the U.S. Government Bonds 10YR Yield (US10Y), as against the prevailing market sentiment we gave a sell signal, right after what turned out to be a top:
Today's revisit to this pattern shows that the 1M RSI Lower Highs have already started to form a Bearish Reversal on the US10Y price, similar to 2006 - 2007. We are expecting to hit the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement level at 2.100% as its first Target, on the Fed's first wave of rate cutting and gradually hit the lower Fib targets as the rates stabilize.
For better illustration we have plotted also the U.S. Interest Rate (red trend-line), where you can clearly see that the fractal we compare to today, is right before cuts started in August 2007. Also it is a natural consequence of US10Y falling when rate cut cycles start, evident also in June 2019, December 2000, May 1995, May 1989 September 1984, May 1981 etc.

The Looming Chinese Bond Market BubbleThe Chinese bond market is showing signs of a bubble, with rapid declines in bond yields and aggressive government interventions. Despite these warnings, some investors remain bullish due to a lack of alternatives. A potential burst could lead to significant financial instability, economic slowdown, and global market contagion.
Key Indicators of a Bubble:
Excessive Price Appreciation: Sharp decline in bond yields suggests prices are detached from fundamentals.
Speculative Behavior: Investors are driven by limited alternatives rather than solid valuations.
Government Intervention: Actions to cool the market indicate concern over potential instability.
Potential Impacts of a Burst:
Chinese Market: Financial instability, economic slowdown, and currency depreciation.
Global Market: Contagion risk, increased volatility, and a global economic slowdown.
Chain Reaction of a Burst:
1. Bond Prices Decline: Losses for bondholders.
2. Financial Institutions Suffer: Liquidity problems for banks.
3. Credit Crunch: Reduced lending.
4. Economic Slowdown: Dampened economic activity.
5. Currency Depreciation:*Inflationary pressures.
6. Global Contagion: Destabilization of global markets.
Conclusion:
The Chinese bond market's bubble risk demands close monitoring. Government interventions have provided temporary stability, but underlying economic issues need resolution to prevent a severe crisis. Investors should brace for potential volatility.
US10Y Expecting a bullish reversal at the bottom. The U.S. Government Bonds 10 YR Yield (US10Y) initially expanded but then took a breather on the new Bullish Leg, as per our January 24 (see chart below) buy signal, before hitting our Target:
The price is now approaching the bottom of the 2-year Channel Up yet again and by next week a 1D Death Cross will be completed. The 2 previous such formations within the Channel Up, have both been made right on its Higher Lows.
As a result, we consider this a great bullish opportunity for the medium-term. Our Target is intact at 5.000%.

Why Are Bonds Still Crashing? Why are US, UK, and EU bonds still crashing since March 2020?
In this video, we are going to study the relationship between bonds, yields, and interest rates, which many of us find confusing. How can we understand them, and why are bond prices leading the yield, followed by interest rates this season?

US10Y held the 1D MA200 and is starting a new rallyThe U.S. Government Bonds 10 YR Yield (US10Y) is expanding the new Bullish Leg, and continues to follow the buy signal we gave on January 24 (see chart below):
Last week it tested the 1D MA200 (orange trend-line) as a Support, for the first time since April 01 and held. As a result, we expect it to resume the Bullish Leg, the same way it did on July 19 2023 and test initially the previous Higher High of the 2-year Channel Up.
Our Target is slightly below at 5.000%.

Im back again Premium Gold idea $$$ Gold has experienced a significant sell-off in recent trading sessions, driven by a stronger US dollar, rising bond yields, and inflation concerns. This has created a challenging trading environment for day traders in XAU/USD. While some may see this as a buying opportunity, caution is advised as selling pressure could continue. Traders should do their own research and analysis before making any trading decisions in the volatile gold market.

US10Y First 1D Golden Cross after 9 months formed! The U.S. Government Bonds 10 YR Yield (US10Y) is expanding the new Bullish Leg, and continues to follow the buy signal we gave on January 24 (see chart below):
The key development today is the formation of the first Golden Cross on the 1D time-frame in 9 months (since July 10 2023). This is a huge technical buy signal on its own and becomes even more so since it is so rare. The previous Golden Cross before July 2023 was on October 29 2021, which means that when the market forms this pattern, the price rallies aggressively.
That is exactly what we expect to happen now. A short-term pull-back to test the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line) similar to July 19 2023, is possible but as long as it holds, we expect our 5.000% Target to get hit relatively soon.
Beyond that, we need to see the previous Higher High breaking (similar to August 21 2023) to justify further buying. If that happens we will look for a new Higher High extension on the 1.618 Fibonacci extension level, approximately around 5.800%.

BONDUSDT.4HOn this BOND/USDT 4-hour chart, I’m examining the inclusion of the RSI (Relative Strength Index) and MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) indicators alongside identified support and resistance levels.
The RSI, currently at 51.38, is hovering around the mid-point, which suggests neither an overbought nor oversold condition. In the context of the RSI, a reading above 70 typically indicates that an asset is becoming overbought, while a reading below 30 indicates an oversold condition. Therefore, the current RSI level provides no clear directional bias.
The MACD, which is near the zero line and appears with minimal histogram bars, also shows a lack of strong momentum in either direction. The convergence, or lack thereof, of the MACD line and the signal line can offer insights into potential price movement, but as it stands, it's not indicating a strong bullish or bearish momentum.
Looking at the price chart, we see that price has recently been making higher lows, which is tentatively bullish as it suggests an uptrend. However, price action is currently compressed below the resistance level (R1) at $4.734. A breakout above this level could indicate bullish momentum leading towards the next resistance level (R2) at $5.417.
Support levels are marked as S1 at $4.013 and S2 at a lower point. These would be areas to watch for potential buying opportunities if the price were to retrace. Particularly, the $4.000 level is psychologically significant and aligns closely with S1, which could reinforce it as a strong support zone.
To form a complete trading strategy around this chart, I would seek confirmation from price action, such as a bullish breakout above R1 with increased volume. A stop-loss strategy would be prudent, potentially just below S1 to mitigate risk in the case of a false breakout or sudden reversal. As always, it’s wise to consider the broader market context, including any news or events that could impact the price of BOND.
Bitcoin to $1,000,000, This is It. (Breakdown Explained)
Well here we are, no recession? no rate hikes? what's going on?. The currency collapse is imminent that's what is going on while majority wait for a recession.
No reserve currency has ever survived going past 121% Government Debt to GDP (what about USA in ww2?, this was the start of parabolic technology growth + decrease in spending + war debt repressions
(forced).
Government Debt + Interest will collapse the currency faster if the FED raises interest rates so this is not a possible outcome unless you want to roll the dice.
CPI + Inflation has barely been tamed, FED balance sheet failed to reduce + BTFP.
SPY (priced in USM2) has started a new bubble breakout
(yes meaning it has just started).
Japan raising interest rates means the carry trade is closing (people sell the US Bonds they bought with cheap JPY) adding artificial pressure on the US10Y market.
FED raising rates at 121% Government Debt to GDP will send it to 200% faster than you can imagine, a recession? forget it can't be allowed to happen.
Theory breakdown what happens next?
FED unable to raise rates will start to introduce confidence lost in the dollar that will trigger loss in confidence in US bonds that will require YCC like WW2. When the USA has done this before it equated to the FED needing to get rates back to zero.
The FED has an objective to save the US dollar above all means necessary, raising rates in a situation like this on paper makes sense but leads to to a accelerated debt cycle collapse.
Jerome Powell's only option was to raise rates fast as possible strengthening the DXY as much as they can flowing all capital globally back into the dollar for risk management.
Jerome Powell now must cut rates back to zero and initiate YCC on the US bond market, reinitiate Quantitative Easing to avoid any recession backstopping every market. Inflation must be allowed to run near 20%-100%. Large capital will see this event unfolding and run into assets like Bitcoin & Gold, we already see this and should understand why Spot ETF's and leverage ETF's were rushed to the market pre cuts.
If the US bond market fails, global capitalism as we know it today fails.
If my thesis was invalidated Jerome Powell would have started multiple more rate hike since I first mentioned this back in late 2023.
US10Y Touched its 1D MA50. Time to rebound? The U.S. Government Bonds 10 YR Yield (US10Y) is expanding the new Bullish Leg, which we gave a buy signal on last time (January 24, see chart below):
Yesterday it touched the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line for the first time since the February 05 break-out. During the previous leg of the 1.5 year Channel Up, the 1D MA50 held all the way until the formation of the new Higher High.
As a result, we are bullish as long as it closes the 1D candles above it, with our 5.000% Target intact.

TLT: Piercing Line on the Quarterly Chart Signaling Lower YieldsTLT (The 20-Year US Treasury Bond ETF) has recently completed the measured move of the Ascending Broadening Wedge Breakdown and has now confirmed a Piercing Line on the 3-Month Chart while closing above the 0.886 Retrace. We can also see that the RSI has begun to break out of its downtrend and these combinations of variables seem to point towards the TLT reversing the overall downtrend which could lead to a major move up towards the 50-61.8% retraces between $130 and $143 this would come with bond yields falling off significantly and may also be a sign of investors seeking safer investments over the coming months.
US10Y About to form a 1D Death Cross. How to trade it?The U.S. Government Bonds 10 YR Yield (US10Y) has gone a long way since our last 1D analysis 3 months ago (October 21 2023, see chart below), hitting all 3 Targets in the process:
This time however it is in a completely different situation as it may be rebounding since the Higher Low at the bottom of the long-term Channel Up on December 28, but is being rejected on the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line) since Friday. As a result by tomorrow it will complete a 1D Death Cross, which is technically a bearish pattern.
Last time it was formed however (May 04 2023), it did so exactly on a bottom and a very strong 6-month rally started. Also technically, every time it finished such a downtrend (blue ellipse), strong rallies above the 1D MA50 followed.
As a result our trading plan will be based on simple break-outs. As long as the price closes a 1D candle above the 1D MA50, and remains within the Channel Up, we will be bullish targeting the 5.000% Resistance. If however it breaks below Support 1, the loss will be minimal and we will reverse to a sell, targeting Support 2 at 3.300%.
