➖ Alan, you said Bitcoin was crashing but there is no crash; another failed analysis? ➖ Why is it taking so long when you know we are 100% impatient?
Let's keep your questions portion short.
Let me ask mine...
➖ What happened to $100,000 and beyond? ➖ What happened to Ethereum Spot ETF? ➖ Why Bitcoin isn't growing right now? ➖ Why more than 3 months sideways with lower highs?
You cannot sell 50 billion worth of Bitcoin without wrecking the entire market, so a plan is needed.
The Cryptocurrency market, as with all industries, has a board of managers; I call them the "owners of Bitcoin."
These managers are mainly the big exchanges, the big corps and the stablecoins people. The stablecoins people are more detached when it comes to planning but the "institutional investors" are basically a team.
Just a few billions of dollars can change the entire market dynamic and nobody wants that: "Highly predictable," that's how they have it, how they want it and how they like it.
So, why does it take so long?
There are multiple reasons and I will go through each and every one of these.
1) Market psychology. Most people buy because they hear about Bitcoin in the media. When Bitcoin surpassed $40,000, it caught the attention of many people. When Bitcoin hit a new All-Time High, the masses are all ready to buy and hold for 500K within months. Of course, we know that this is the top but that is a completely different topic.
The waiting time will make people complacent. These new players will feel happy with their paper earnings. After seeing many swings, ups and downs and no change in their balance, they just take it for granted that everything will always stay the same, so they go out there to feel rich but never withdraw or sell because they are waiting for the big win. The big win is only possible when one buys at the bottom and to buy at the bottom is really hard because everything is negative in the media, so only professional and experienced players enter the game at this stage.
In a nutshell, the market manipulators are conditioning the people to not worry.
2) Lots of money. Tens of billions of dollars is a lot of money, believe it or not. While we here and read about trillions all of the time, the real value of the market is just a few billion dollars, at maximum; all the rest is just smokes and screens, it is all a mirage of course. If whales start selling without organization the illusion is broken and people can easily realize what is going on behind the scenes and so they have to plan.
With so many different big players, so many varied interests, it takes a long while to move all the money to where it needs to be; but it doesn't take forever.
It takes months to distribute the money to the exchanges and platforms for the selling to start.
The big exchanges that process the loaning for the shorting buy the Bitcoins at the high price to later loan to everybody. The Mt. Gox BTC stack is transferred to different accounts to obfuscate. The rest continue to position themselves slowly but surely.
Then we have the meeting, we draw the tickets and we take turn.
The turns is only at the beginning... There comes a point where there is a "free for all." I believe the free for all phase is determined based on a certain price milestone. Something like this, "When x price is reached, everybody can sell/buy as much as they want without damaging their reputation with the group." If someone moves ahead, it can happen but they would know who that entity is and they would lose power in the next cycle which can translate into less or harder profits and no whale wants that. The main and only goal is gain; money! The motto is profits & greed! (There is some speculation on this parragraph as there is a part I am not fully certain.)
It doesn't really take that long... The bigger you become; financially, emotionally, power-wise, control-wise, the faster time goes by. While a month is a long time for someone with a small pocket and a small mind/spirit, for a whale a month is like a day. Six month for a giant is like a week compared to its prey.
The masses are very happy with paper earnings, the giants are happy with real gains.
All the money is now in place... Now we just have to wonder, what will happen next?
➖ Will Bitcoin grow to $120,000 and make everybody rich in a matter of days? ➖ Or will Bitcoin enter correction mode as the whales and giants collect profits after a 16 months bullish wave?
I don't know... Nobody knows... Leave a comment with your guess.
Is Bitcoin going down now, or will it move up and hit 300K?
It is going to grow for sure; but what about the short-term?
Let's start a discussion.
